The most notable distinction lies in IST’s use of recyclable aluminum, which may appeal to environmentally conscious consumers who prefer products with sustainable construction and long-term durability. However, my Highland plates have demonstrated exceptional resilience over time, showing virtually no signs of wear. In fact, they are more likely to be misplaced than to deteriorate from use. That said, provided the metal corners maintain their integrity, the IST’s aluminum construction may offer a slight durability advantage over polymer alternatives.
